The young boy’s body was found in a car at Dunmore East in Co Waterford. The harrowing discovery was made on Friday, February 9th. Matthew was given medical treatment at the scene and was rushed to University Hospital Waterford, but he was sadly pronounced dead at the hospital. A woman in her 30s was also at the scene but needed medical attention before Gardaí could question her.
