Board president Nate Schwager read a resignation letter from Lisa Cook, a mathematics teacher. Superintendent Molly Aschoff said Ashley Koenig, a Ewing graduate, will fill the vacancy. Koenig currently teaches business at Creighton Community Schools. “She will be teaching junior high math and will take the Praxis test to get that certification,” Aschoff said.
By LuAnn Schindler| Summerland Advocate-Messenger Verified Summerland girls and boys track teams traveled to Battle Creek, April 8, for the BC Track Invite. The girls finished in eight place scoring 18.67 points. Lydia Robertson and Caydence Schumacher picked up medals in high jump. Robertson cleared 5 feet, while Schumacher ended in a tie for fifth place. She jumped 4' 6 inches. Robertson finished in 12th in the 200m prelims, running 29.59. Karley Dawkins finished fourth in the 1600m, running 6:25.27, a season record.

Some of us would rise before dawn for sunrise service, either at the church in Tilden or out in Ritter’s pasture.
