Biography

I am currently working in financial journalism at Asset Servicing Times, where I have gained valuable experience in writing news, features and interviews on a broad range of topics. As I have no background in finance I have had to learn about industry-specific details at speed, something which will stand me in good stead for my career going forwards. I have reported on the ground from conferences across the world, and interviewed several high-profile individuals with confidence and successful results. Alongside my full-time job, I maintain a Substack where I write about cultural trends, popular entertainment and share personal essays. I often discuss topics before mainstream outlets do, such as the ‘core’ fashion trends and the appeal of stressful television. I have also written for several publications in a freelance capacity, covering a broad range of topics including television, skincare, and local events. During my time at university, I wrote and sub-edited for The Boar, the award-winning student newspaper, and was secretary of the university’s creative magazine, Cobalt. My involvement with the journalism scene on campus led to two of my pieces being shortlisted at the 2022 SPA awards in the Lifestyle and Entertainment categories and winning both the Best Entertainment Article and Writer of the Year award at the 2022 Boar Awards.
