Taxes and tariffs and turmoil, oh my!Since we can’t affect the onslaught, we’re trying to reframe with a phrase our French former co-columnist often used. She’d remind us that to “changer les idées” had many benefits. The phrase suggests that to take one’s mind of things, clear one’s head, or take a break is something we CAN do amidst the deluges beyond our control.

Good news from the LJS staff who have weathered the cyberstorm and are now able again to bring you the food pages every week. “We’re back!” was the chorus hard-working LES crews made possible after the mud-zzard knocked down lines, poles and trees.
