Both include issuance of capital improvement bonds for improvements to Lake County Intermediate School, and the second also includes renovations to Federico Field located adjacent to Lake County High School. At a special meeting held Thursday, Aug. 31, the board voted unanimously to approve the wording of the ballot issues.

  • District reports no contests for board

    By Marcia Martinek Verified|The Herald DemocratVerifiedThere will be no contests for the Lake County School District Board of Education this fall. Three people have petitioned for the three positions open on the board, according to Bunny Taylor, administrative assistant to the superintendent and the board. Petitions were received from Grayson Cooper, Angel Bujanda Gutierrez and Miriam Lozano. Of the three, Lozano is currently serving on the board, having been appointed to an open position in May.
