Marie Duffy is a freelance journalist and mental health advocate from Creeslough, Co Donegal, Ireland. She is the Editor of The Creeslough View community magazine which is a cultural heritage project based in the small village of Creeslough in Co Donegal. She is a See Change national mental health ambassador and mental health blogger on www.unwindyourmind.wordpress.com. She is a former youth advisor, member of the Board of Directors and Editor of Spunout.ie and was involved with the organization from 2004-2017. She was also a youth advisor to the youth mental health charity Jigsaw (formerly known as Headstrong) from 2007-2014. In 2018, she became one of the founding members and peers of Donegal Wellness Cafes and there are now 15 wellness cafes supporting those with lived experience of mental illness on a weekly basis around the county of Donegal. She is an award-winning journalist and has been shortlisted for many national and international awards for her mental health advocacy work.
