The assault took place in the Hall building’s lobby, about 30 metres away from a Campus Safety and Prevention Services (CSPS) desk. Despite the proximity, Bahnan and his friend Donya Mashkuri, who was with him at the time of the assault, said it took five minutes for CSPS to get to the scene.
