Marisa Mazria-Katz is a NY-based journalist/editor born and raised in Los Angeles. She has contributed to numerous publications and television channels on culture, politics and design, including: The New York Times, Time, Financial Times, The Guardian, The Economist, The New Republic, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Vogue, Art Asia Pacific (Contributing Editor), Travel+Leisure, Wallpaper*, Monocle Magazine, Forbes, Conde Nast Traveler (US), Chicago Tribune, Metropolis Magazine, Icon, Food & Wine Magazine, The Week, Departures Magazine, 34 Magazine, Abitare, Il Sole, Surface, City Magazine, Nylon Magazine, Bon Appetit, Time Out, Dazed and Confused, Ski Magazine, New York Post and ESPN The Magazine. In 2009, Marisa was the recipient of a State Department grant that helped to establish a program that teaches citizen journalism in a severely marginalized district of Casablanca, Morocco. Today, Marisa is the editor of a new Creative Time initiative called Creative Time Reports (www.creativetimereports.org). The program’s key goals are to restore the voice of the artist in society by pushing them back in the spotlight as critical thinkers who actively participate in the issues of our time.
