The 3 MW floating wind turbine will belocated 2 km west of the Culzean platform, 220 km off the eastern coastof Scotland. This turbine, expected to be fully operationalby end 2025, will supply around 20% of Culzean’s power requirement, therebyreducing its GHG emissions.

With the growing momentum across Americafor a clean energy future, the Department of the Interior announced itwill hold an offshore wind energy lease sale off southern Oregon. The two areas to be auctioned on October15, 2024, by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management could generate morethan 3.1 gigawatts of clean, renewable energy if fully developed, whichcould power approximately one million households.
