On Wednesday, DFAT updated its advice for Germany, a massively popular tourist destination, to the lowest level. “We’ve reviewed our travel advice for Germany and advise exercise normal safety precautions,” DFAT’s Smartraveller website states. Despite the lowered travel advice, the government says there’s still “an ongoing threat of terrorism in Germany”.
