  • Consortium eyes 1.1 MMt/y low-carbon ammonia project in Texas by end-2027

    By Mark Thomas Verified, Takeo Kumagai| Chemical Week Verified Inpex Corp., Air Liquide Group SA, LSB Industries Inc. and Vopak Moda Houston LLC have teamed up to potentially develop a 1.1 million metric tons per year (MMt/y) low-carbon ammonia plant located on the Houston Ship Channel, Texas. An investment amount for the proposed development was not given, although Inpex (Tokyo) will “likely be the largest investor in the overall project across the entire value chain, from production to export,” they said.
