  • William C. Freitag: Speech pathologist served Sylvania schools for 34 years

    By Mark Zaborney Verified| The Toledo Blade Verified William C. Freitag, a speech pathologist who closed his 34-year Sylvania schools career with myriad duties as director of student and community services, died Feb. 9 in Ohio Living Swan Creek. He was 85. He died in his sleep, and the cause is not yet known, his daughter Karen Francis said. He most recently was a memory care resident, but was not in ill health, she said. He and his wife, Gayle, moved to Swan Creek from their longtime Maumee home more than a year ago.
