Hi and Welcome! My Name is Mary Keile. I am from Redwood City, California. I have been living in Redwood City my whole life. I go to Canada College, and I'm a sophomore. I am majoring in Communication Studies and journalism as an associate degree and would love to transfer to SJSU with a double major in Journalism and Communication Studies in fall 2026. I am a social media editor for my college newspaper, The Skyline View as well as a staff writer. I enjoy writing about local news, entertainment, and reviews. I hope to write helpful articles that students and people will find helpful and enjoyable throughout my career. I also had the opportunity of becoming a graphic designer for Girlhood Magazine since March, inspiring the audience with my designs and gaining experience in design. By Mary Keile| theskylineview.com@ I was surprised when I first heard the news about the documentary series “Bad Influence: The Dark Side of Kidfluencing” coming out, exposing abuse among child influencers. The children speaking out on social media needed more attention for their lawsuit, and the docu-series shares their story and brings awareness to viewers worldwide. It had moments that left me in shock and feeling empathy for the children.
By Mary Keile| theskylineview.com@ I was happy when Selena Gomez created another album because her songs are great to listen to. They get you up and moving with her melodies and voice. The album has a soft, honest tone like “I’m Not Scared of Loving you,” which she sings beautifully for her fiance, while having exciting music tracks like “Sunset Blvd” and “Call Me When You Break Up,” which made me up and jamming.
By Mary Keile| theskylineview.com@ California, since the start of Dec. in 2024, has been hit with multiple weather warnings and events all across the state that have impacted communities such as Skyline College. On Dec. 5 around 10 a.m. Skyline students were faced with a tsunami warning that lasted for about two hours before being cancelled by the National Weather Service.
