She addressed party supporters at Burbage Common, which she hailed “a beautiful community facility”, and praised local Lib Dems for “fiercely” protecting it for future generations, in reference to the controversial Rail Freight Interchange proposal being rejected.

The incident took place shortly after 2pm, when officers reportedly attended a house on Druid Street. Students enjoying their lunch in the courtyard near the Atkins Building were asked to move away and head back inside of the campus while officers cordoned the area off. According to an eyewitness, a man was arrested at the scene shortly after.
