From rainfall totals to oral histories, Hurricane Harvey data offers multiple portraits of a disaster

These resources can help researchers, agencies and organizations work toward ways to prevent and withstand the worst effects of the storms to come. This post explores five Harvey-related datasets, but the UDP has much more—including data on Harvey’s impacts on air and water quality, federal funding for individuals and households, and power outages.

Johnson founded the Houston Flood Museum to help collect these stories while the city began its lumbering recovery.
