Around 80 workers at the camper van manufacturer have been temporarily laid off since last Monday, April 7, after being warned of the move the Friday before. The union representing the workers, Unifor Local 1106, confirmed the temporary layoffs to 570 NewsRadio last week and cited the turmoil in the auto industry amid the uncertainty surrounding U.S. tariffs.
