Benjamin Kamperman had a pair of top finishes, placing third in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 4 minutes, 50.43 seconds and also took fifth in the 800. Brisen Lewis was sixth in the 200-meter dash, clocking in at 24.80, and also placed 12th in the 100. Mauricio finished third in the triple jump and seventh in the 400.

After a season of grinding out 19 victories mostly on the defensive end, they saw their first-round Class 5A playoff matchup with Discovery Canyon as a chance to do damage on the offensive end. The Red Hawks reached a season-high point total, as did Mayce Oberg with her 32 points, as No. 9 Montrose beat the No. 24 Thunder 61-50 to advance in the postseason.
