Matt Munoz is a freelance columnist for The Bakersfield Californian. Born and raised in the city of McFarland, Matt is a graduate of Bakersfield College and CSUB – class of 2003 and currently serving on the board of directors of the CSUB Alumni Association, and an active member of the National Hispanic Journalists Association, and Latino Journalists of California. Matt is also past recipient of the prestigious Jose Marti writing award from the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. Over the years Matt has also co-hosted and been a guest on countless radio and TV programs discussing entertainment as well as interviewing local and international celebrities.
