Biography

Matthew H. Ward is a historian and freelance journalist who is the author of numerous published articles in print and online media sources. He is a native of Matawan, New Jersey, who currently lives outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his wife Sarah and two daughters. He holds a B.A. in History and Culture from Arizona State University, an M.A. in History from Rutgers University-Camden, and an MPA from the University of Pennsylvania. He has served for over 15 years as an officer and civilian in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve. Ward is the co-author of "Boxing in Atlantic City" with John DiSanto and "The Raritan Bayshore" with John Allan Savolaine.
