The crash happened around 10 a.m. at the intersection of High House Road and Cornerstone Drive in Cary, according to a warrant. The driver, 57-year-old Adrian Holt, is charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle and carrying a concealed weapon. He was also cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian and failing to reduce speed. Cary police said Holt hit the girl at a crosswalk.
