Mary Mull said her 8-year-old son was in the cafeteria when he was attacked by a 9-year-old student and stabbed in the face and hand. She said her son and the other boy were sitting at the same table. She said the other student began yelling at her son, her son said something back to him, and the 9-year-old got physical.
By Melissa Moon Verified| WREG-TV (Memphis, TN) Verified CORDOVA, Tenn. — Memphis police say a student at Riverview Optional Elementary was injured during an incident at the Cordova school Wednesday. Officers responded to a wounding call in the 1300 block of Stern Road around 11:30 a.m. MPD has not released details about what happened, but said one child was transported to the Regional One Medical Center in non-critical condition. They said another child was detained on the scene. Police said this is an ongoing investigation.
