Mia Jensen is an Ottawa-based multimedia journalist. She has previously worked as a reporter for The Sudbury Star, a communications assistant for the Rainbow District School Board, and a researcher for the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra. Her work has been published in The Sudbury Star, the Ottawa Citizen, Capital Current, and The Charlatan. She is currently a fourth-year undergraduate student of journalism at Carleton University.

  • People on the Move: Irfan Ahmed joins Procom and Howard Nemiroff named dean at Sprott

Ahmed announced on LinkedIn recently that he has begun a “new chapter” of his career, joining the Procom team as consulting director. In an interview with OBJ, Ahmed said his role will be to “help build (Procom’s) presence here in Ottawa. Their head office is in Toronto and they have locations across Canada.

  • Little Italy’s food scene benefiting from population growth, development in the area

Area restaurants were showing off what they bring to the table at the Taste of Little Italy event Tuesday evening. Organized by the Preston Street BIA, the event featured 21 local businesses, from restaurants and patisseries to brewers and distilleries, which provided sample dishes to the sold-out crowd of 400 at the Preston Event Centre.
