By Michael May| Letterboxd@ I wasn't paying attention when this was released, so I misunderstood what it was and filed it away as a biopic that I had no interest in. Recently though, a friend saw it and recommended it to me because of it’s "gothic influences and modern take on hauntings". That - and being clued in that it's entirely fictional - got my attention. I got the hauntings angle right away and my pal was right that this is an area of fascination for me.
