Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is slated to open later this spring at The Village at San Antonio Center, replacing ShowPlace ICON Theater, which shuttered in July. According to Mountain View Chamber of Commerce president Peter Katz, the theater will be a welcome addition to the center and to the community as a whole. “It’s a real vibrant spot,” Katz said.

  • New Italian restaurant opens in State Street Market

California-Italian concept Miko’s CALiTALIA has taken over the space that once belonged to Bibo’s Pizza & Pasta, a San Jose-based favorite that closed over the summer after about a year in downtown Los Altos. Miko’s is in soft-opening mode, with plans to hold its official grand opening by month’s end. Joey Camacho is the man behind Miko’s and also operates the restaurant next to it – Konjoe Burger.
