Biography

Michelle Li is an evening anchor and reporter at WISC-TV in Madison, Wis. Previously she worked as the main anchor at stations in the Coastal Carolinas and Springfield, Mo. Michelle has received several regional EMMY awards for her interactive work, along with reports on synthetic marijuana, severe weather, women's health issues, national scam investigations and adoption issues. She has been named Anchor of the Year in the Carolinas, received a Murrow for writing and a congressional honor for her commitment to adoption causes. She has taken several volunteer trips to Korea, working with adoptive families and spending time in orphanages. In 2011, Michelle even accepted an invitation to share her own experiences as an adoptee at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. in celebration of Holt International's 55th anniversary. Michelle grew up near Kansas City and studied journalism at the University of Kansas. She's passionate about volunteering, cooking and spending time with family.

[1] in response to our case report entitled ‘Is proton beam therapy always better than photon irradiation? Lessons from two cases’ [2]. The aim of the article was to generate discussion and highlight the complexities when deciding on a suitable treatment modality for each of our patients. Proton beam therapy offers an opportunity to reduce the acute and late toxicities of treatment by lowering radiation dose to normal tissues.
