I am a former computer programmer, and chess nerd turned food blogger and photographer who has been running Greedy Gourmet since 2007. South African by birth, I now reside in Colchester (Essex), just outside London (UK), with my two children. I create recipes inspired by my travels, restaurant visits, and cookbooks. My hope is for readers to ditch takeaways and ready-made meals while reveling in the fact that what they are cooking is not readily available in shops or restaurants.
