Mission: "Where there is no vision, the people perish" The Williston Herald won 44 awards — 22 in editorial and 22 in advertising — and placed second in the overall general excellence category for its division during annual North Dakota Newspaper Association convention held May 6 in Grand Forks, N.D. The 22 editorial distinctions nearly doubles the newsroom's award total from 2009 when the Herald won 12. The Herald competes in the category of daily newspaper, 12,000 circulation or less. The awards were for stories, photos and ads that were printed in 2010.
