Another system moving through the region Tuesday night into Wednesday morning could bring additional light snow to our higher elevations and mountain passes. A brief return to warmer weather is expected Thursday into Friday as high pressure moves in. Daytime highs will be in the 60s and 70s.

Winds will shift from southerly to westerly behind the front with gusts ranging from 20 to 40 mph. Isolated afternoon thunderstorms are possible, across southwest Montana, due to higher atmospheric instability. Daytime highs will be in the 50s and 60s. Widespread showers continue this evening into Tuesday. Snow levels will drop to around 4,500 feet.
