Monique El-Faizy is a Paris-based journalist with more than 20 years' experience. Covering beats ranging from Wall Street to the Arab-American community, she has held staff positions at the New York Daily News, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Associated Press and the Record of Hackensack. She was a medical blogger for AOL’s ParentDish. El-Faizy’s work often focuses on people or groups that are disenfranchised and/or misunderstood, and to bring nuance to subjects that are usually depicted in broad strokes. She is the author of "God and Country: How Evangelicals Have Become America's New Mainstream."
