Biography

Hello! My name is Muktar Balogun, and I'm a Mass Communication graduate with a passion for media and development. I have experience in research, reportage, and multimedia production, and I'm confident that I can make a valuable contribution to any media organization. As an intern Fact Checker at DUBAWA, I honed my fact-checking and open-source investigation skills while writing media literacy and news reports. During my internship at The Nation, I researched and wrote original content covering sports, entertainment, and politics. As the former Editor-in-Chief of the Union of Campus Journalists, I led a team in coordinating and revising material for publication on the Union's website while ensuring adherence to in-house style guides. In addition to my professional experience, I'm actively involved in civic initiatives such as serving as an election observer and reporter at the Centre for Journalism, Innovation and Development. I also held leadership positions as the Campus Director of the Millennium Campus Network and the Local Coordinator of Students for Liberty, where I'm passionate about youth empowerment in social and economic development initiatives. I'm committed to applying my skills, knowledge, and passion to make a meaningful impact on an organization's goals. I'm eager to learn and grow as I build my career in the media and development space. If you're interested in discussing potential opportunities or collaborations, please contact me at balogunmuktar@gmail.com or 07038094121. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, and I look forward to connecting with you!
