Biography

I am a doctoral student of Social Work at University of Ibadan, Nigeria, National Public Relations Officer of Nigeria Association of Social Workers (NASoW), a trained Social Worker and practicing Journalist with 15 years cognate experience in both print and online media. I bagged a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work and Administration at University of Jos in 2010, a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism at International Institute of Journalism, Abuja in 2012 and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Sociology (Medical Sociology) at University of Ibadan in 2021. I started my career as a journalist at University of Jos as a Campus Correspondent for a number of national dailies in 2009 and I have been in active journalism since then. I worked as campus/ education correspondent for The Nation, Nigerian Tribune, Compass, National Mirror, Daily Trust, Vanguard and Guardian newspapers between 2009 and 2012. I also worked as Poll clerk, Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission in 2004, Assistant Poll Clerk, Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) in 2011 and Independent Supervisor of World Health Organisation (WHO) on immunization against polio in Lagelu and Ido local government areas of Oyo State. I also worked at different times as Freelancer, reporter and correspondent for Royal Times newspaper, Blueprint newspaper, The Nigeria Standard Newspaper and Premium Times. I joined Daily Post online newspaper in 2017 and currently work as its Oyo state Correspondent. I was returned unopposed as National Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Nigeria Association of Social Workers (NASoW) on Friday, 18th November 2018 in Ilorin , Kwara state. Due to my performance, I was re-elected unopposed as NASoW National PRO at the 38th NASoW Annual Conference on Friday, 18th November 2022 in Calabar, Cross River state. I have also served at different times as member, secretary and chairman of various committees in both professional and community levels. I loves reading, writing and traveling.
