A (writing) jack of all trades, Natalie Oganesyan (she/her) is passionate about all forms of stories and their power to unite. Currently, the GALECA member freelances for a variety of publications, covering TV, film and culture, especially as it relates to underrepresented communities. She is also developing a memoir, penning poetry and beginning her foray into copywriting. In addition to serving as a staff journalist, she has been a team leader, editor, social media and photo coordinator and SEO analyst. She graduated summa cum laude from the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and earned a minor in human rights. Natalie published a chapbook at 18, served as an inaugural mentee of the Vox Media Writer's Workshop and was bestowed USC's Outstanding Journalism Scholar Award. When she's not furiously writing at 3 a.m., you can find her soaking in the sun with a cute lil beverage and a good book she wishes she would have written. Outside of the professional sphere, Natalie thoroughly delights in baking vegan treats for her friends and family, collaging, boxing and traveling. She is quadrilingual in Armenian, Russian, Spanish and English.
