Black Catholic Messenger

The Black Catholic Messenger is a nonprofit news/opinion site amplifying the voice of Black Catholics. The nearly 500-year history of African-Americans has produced a history, patrimony, and uniqueness that has long since warranted individual and exclusive media attention, especially within the Catholic media landscape. The Messenger aims to fill that void in much that same way that Daniel Rudd did with the "American Catholic Tribune" some 125 years ago. We will use Black Catholic writers and artist to share the stories, history, and happenings of Black Catholics in America, a concept almost unheard of in modern American journalism. In that aim, we will enrich both America and the Church, fulfilling a sacred mission and honoring the sacrifices of the ancestors. That is the message.
