Looking at lists from other publications, I would say mine are far less pretentious. But maybe that’s not true. Who’s to say? My wife says I’m not allowed to be snobby about stuff—but it's not my fault I like good things. All kidding aside, I always say the beauty of music is about how diverse and universal it can be.

The challenge will be to hold fast to cherished memories while leaving the year far in the rear-view mirror. You might think that we'd opt to get off the rollercoaster ride that is our nomadic life—but you'd be wrong. Our bags are packed and tomorrow we head to start a year abroad in Panama. Anyway, the six of you reading this likely already knew that.
