For the first time, Maryland and Norfolk State will face each other on Saturday afternoon, as Norfolk State is the first 13th seed. The Winner will advance to the round of 32 on Monday. The winner will face either Green Bay or Alabama.

Players, coaches, and fans eagerly awaited the Terps’ destination placed. Many speculated that the team would be a fifth seed and wouldn’t host a game at College Park. This shifted following the announcement that Maryland secured a fourth seed and earned two home games host. This upcoming Saturday Maryland welcomes Norfolk State.
