It was a simple start that marked the pattern for our first year: two short stories and a cover. Our October 2006 issue featured the works of Lavie Tidhar and Sarah Monette and included art by Tomasz Pietrzyk. All three eventually returned to our pages and Lavie has yet another story in this one. That crew–and all the contributors to our first-year lineup–have a special place in my heart. They gave us a chance when others didn’t.
