Royal Kingdom is the Turkish studio’s second global launch afterRoyal Match, which has been a regular fixture in the top grossing charts. According to March’s Appmagic estimates, Royal Match was the third top grossing mobile game globally, with $147m earned last month alone. Royal Kingdom earned around $13.5m for the same period, according to Appmagic.

As we’ve reported previously, Ingvar said at GDC that with the addition of Solitaire, Candy Crush is in the ‘franchise phase’ of its development – suggesting there are more new Candy-themed takes on other puzzle genres incoming.

Thronglets seems to show that there’s now much tighter collaboration between the streaming giant’s TV and gaming teams. It is developed by Netflix-owned Oxenfree creator Night School Studio, and is the centrepiece of the Plaything episode in the new Black Mirror season, which is also live today.
