Nick Fineman is an aspiring journalist, film producer, and film editor. Nick graduated in 2014 from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in History and Political Science. Nick is currently a Broadcast Associate for CBS This Morning stationed at CBS News in New York Before being hired by CBS News, Nick interned at both NBC and CBS respectively. Both opportunities allowed Nick to learn what it takes to produce a television show, and the quality required to be successful. The experience also helped Nick to realize his desire to be creative in life. At CBS, Nick interned with “60 Minutes.” While at 60 Minutes Nick received multiple bylines for stories written for “60 Minutes Overtime”; helped edit video for publication on “60 Minutes Overtime”’; produced “The Tweeting Nun,” the winning CBS intern project of 2013; pitched stories to producers for “60 Minutes” and “60 Minutes Overtime; and reasearched stories. During his time at 60 Minutes, Nick took classes at The Manhattan Edit Workshop to learn how to edit film using Avid Media Composer. At NBC, Nick interned for the Today Show. While at the Today Show, Nick assisted producers with off-site shoots, live segments and in edit sessions; gathered the clips for and helped produce the weekly Olympic highlights segment during the 2012 Summer Olympic Games; pitched story ideas for the news portions of the show and for the fourth hour with Kathie Lee and Hoda; helped produce the segments “321 Live,” “Who Knew,” and “Ambush Makeover” for the fourth hour of the show; and oversaw logistics for the Kenny Chesney concert during the Today Show Summer Concert Series. As a senior at Washington University in St. Louis Nick started the first and only television news show on campus. Using equipment provided by the University, Nick writes, films, edits, and produces segments on news, sports, food, weather, campus culture, and much more.
