  • Rain chance ramps up into the week ahead

By Nicondra Norwood Verified| WVUE-TV (New Orleans, LA) Verified NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - After a mostly dry stretch of weather with almost 2 weeks rain free at New Orleans Louis Armstrong International Airport we are seeing better ran chances as we move into the week ahead. Shower activity started to pick up during the morning hours across southeast Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf Coast with many locations south of Lake Pontchartrain getting at least a light shower by mid-day.

  • More humid into the holiday weekend

By Nicondra Norwood Verified| WVUE-TV (New Orleans, LA) Verified NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Beautiful, but a bit warmer and more muggy across southeast Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf Coast as we head into the Easter weekend. Thursday brings lots of sunshine with highs bouncing into the low 80s across the region. Southerly winds increase moisture across the region as well with more humid air hanging around through the weekend. Good Friday will be even warmer with low temperatures to start the day in the upper 60s.
