Biography

My work as a business journalist and editor has involved exploring the interlinks between businesses, governments, societies and the human psyche to weave stories of varying textures through different strands of experiences. Critically acclaimed scoops and investigative stories I have produced over the last five years include Freeport LNG's $1.25B bond deal in July 2016, Brazilian oil giant Petrobras' efforts to sell its gas pipeline unit amid a corruption scandal in 2015, an investigation into the $65 trillion in undisclosed federal debt in 2012, and the human rights violations involving 112 migrant workers detained in Bahrain for six years at the hands of a wealthy Middle Eastern construction giant. My first scoop on the plights of those workers in Bahrain in July 2012 led to their release two weeks after the story ran. I have written for Newsweek/International Business Times, TheStreet.com, MSN Money, Yahoo Finance, Euromoney Institutional Investor, S&P Global and more. II previously steered a diplomatic initiative for the UK Government amid a massive crisis during the era of David Cameron. Non-fiction books that I have published include a monograph on Citigroup's former Chief Risk Officer Brian Leach and a biography of 21 top women business leaders of India. My work as a novelist and writer has taken me everywhere from Wall Street and Capitol Hill to Scotland Yard situation rooms and the BBC studios in London. My upcoming novel, a London-based thriller, is set to release in Dec. 2017.
