It employs participatory storytelling, combining citizen contributions with professional editorial oversight. Citizen Matters has expanded its reach from Bengaluru to several major cities, including Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune, and Ahmedabad. Its offerings include explainer journalism, solutions journalism, citizen journalism, and in-depth reports on systemic urban challenges.
