More than 10 police and ambulance vehicles are at the scene near Milton Place in Gravesend, close to the town’s Riverside Leisure Area. The road is currently taped off by officers, and KentOnline has been informed they are in talks with a person behind the cordon. Police cars have also been seen parked in East Terrace, as well as at the junction from Milton Place. Emergency services have been contacted for further details.

Emergency services were called to Cinderhill Wood Nature Reserve in Tonbridge at 4.30pm yesterday (April 18) following reports of a large amount of undergrowth alight. Six fire engines, a bulk water carrier, and two all-terrain vehicles attended, and crews extinguished the fire using hose reel jets. Firefighters revisited the site this morning to ensure there were no remaining hotspots.
