By Omar Abdel-Razek, David C Liu, Hassan Rastegar, Venkatachalam Senthilnathan| JACC Specialty Journals@ History of PresentationA 69-year-old man with aortic valve replacement (AVR) (27-mm Trifecta, Abbott Vascular) 10 years ago presented with Canadian Cardiovascular Society class II angina and was found to have severe aortic stenosis (AS). Coronary angiography revealed mild luminal irregularities. Transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE) revealed severe bioprosthetic AS (mean gradient: 44 mm Hg; peak velocity: 4.34 m/s) and moderate aortic regurgitation.
