UNL Police Department Assistant Chief Marty Fehringer said that in the last few weeks, crime across campus was slightly higher, but full of typical offenses like underage drinking, fake IDs, hit and runs, and driving under the influence. Officers arrested 21-year-old Cale Wacker of Norfolk Thursday, April 3 in relation to a hate crime against a student.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s University Programing Council President Nancy Tran said the student-run organization will not be changing its dedication or approach to diversity on campus amidst federal policy changes.

An officer saw a man littering, throwing a bottle on the sidewalk, Monday, March 10 at 14th and P Streets, and stopped his car to intervene.
