The celebration of the 80th Anniversary continued with the Stark County Coach of the Year, Stark County Player of the Year, the Jim Johnson Sportsmanship Award, and the Jim Muzzy Scholastic Achievement Award. Great speeches by all and a wonderful talk with Hall of Famer Dermontti Dawson rounded out the night.

Schuring passed away after a long and courageous battle with several illnesses. He was a regular guest for more than 5 years on Canton’s Morning News with Pam Cook and was a good friend of the radio station. He is also known for authoring a lot of legislation that helped Stark County tremendously. Former Canton Mayor Tom Bernabei was a dear friend.
