Poulet Frit Wong is not a new name in Quebec City, it started as a takeaway/delivery restaurant in the kitchens of Restaurant Wong in Old Quebec in autumn 2024. A passion project of chef Stephen Wong, who has close friends with celiac disease, takes great care to ensure gluten-free foods are cooked in a safe environment.

I could have taken a bus to the grocery store and bought ingredients to make some at home, but my laziness won. I don’t remember which sandwich I ordered, but I remember feeling meh about it, and I have lamented many times since Quebec City needs a really good sandwich shop.
