Davis is on an eight-game hitting streak and has recorded a hit in 10 of the Cowgirls’ last 11 games. She’s also hit a home run in three of the last six games and has been the most consistent force in OSU’s lineup the last couple of weeks. “I’m not gonna lie, it feels kinda easy up there for me (right now),” Davis said with a laugh.

Gajewski’s Cowgirls — the team he said preseason could be the best he’s ever had — suffered their 13th loss of the season (23-13) to Iowa State on Friday in a 5-4 defeat, giving OSU more losses than all of last season (49-12). The Cowgirls are also 5-6 in Big 12 Conference play and have lost four straight games. The Cowgirls clawed back in the seventh from a two-run deficit and forced extra innings.
