• Met Ed rate hike short of double digits expected

  By Pat Bywater| LNP Verified A residential rate increase of about 9.6% starting Dec. 1 is planned by Met-Ed – Lancaster County’s secondary electricity provider. The utility, with approximately 2,200 customers in Lancaster County, has filed for review by the state Public Utility Commission a rate increase for its Price to Compare, which is a direct pass-through to customers of the cost of purchasing electricity.
