Mulhim made contact with and identified the vehicle’s driver as Antonio Smith, 45 of Turlock. When Mulhim had his dispatcher run Smith, he discovered he was on parole for bringing a controlled substance into a jail or prison. Smith was removed from his vehicle and detained in handcuffs so a parole search could be conducted.

The caller reported a toddler was accidentally locked in a running vehicle. When units arrived on scene, firefighters used their lockout emergency vehicle access tool to open the driver door and get to the toddler. The toddler was found to be in good health.
