Biography
Paul has more than decade of professional photography and writing experience. He began his career in 2005 at Newsbreak magazine (now under Rappler.com) working as a photo contributor. He also did freelance work for Summit Media, shooting for Candy, Seventeen, Kid Zone, Hi! and Yes! magazines. He eventually found his niche in the entertainment website Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.PH) covering lifestyle events, interviewing celebrities and getting the juiciest showbiz news. In 2011, he made his way to broadcasting world working under the Corporate PR group of TV5. He established and handled the publicity of Sports5, the sports division of the television network. The network’s other long-running entertainment shows were also assigned to him. It also allowed him to to be one of the network’s in-house photographer shooting entertainment programs and sports events like the PBA (Philippine Basketball Association), United Football League (UFL), Guam-based PXC (Pacific X-Treme Combat), FIBA Asia 2013 and other major events in the country. In 2016, he began covering the NBA for Sports5.PH (now ESPN5). He is currently covering the league for Rappler.com. He also did the stills and publicity photography for G It’s Entertainment, an independent film company based in South Carolina. Some of his photos were featured by Marvista Entertainment. Paul is a Journalism graduate from the University of the Philippines He also obtained his MBA from Louisiana State University in Shreveport.
